Masonic Banner
The Banner was briefly described by Bro.The Ven. Canon A. P Shepherd, Pro. G. Chap., and then dedicated with appropriate masonic prayer.
The Banner was presented to the Lodge by Bro. H. L. D. Perks, Senior Deacon of the Lodge and was designed by the College of Arts and Crafts, Margaret Street, Birmingham who also designed the Lodge Jewel.
Almost every Lodge in the English Constitution today has a banner. They became popular during the middle to second half of the 18th Century.
Originally they were an easily recognised symbol to identify the location of the group within the camp when at war or to mark out the rallying point for troops and soldiers during war and battle.
The designs on banners developed and lead to the creation of coats of arms to clearly identify the armour shrouded soldiers during battle. The College of Arms was founded in London in 1484 to design and issue coats of arms. This body still exists and operates today.

Lodge Masonic Tie
The Old Edwardian Lodge of Stourbridge is quite unusual in having its own masonic tie and apron for the Master. Our lodge's masonic regalia is distinguished by the school badge and colours.
The masonic tie was presented to the lodge in December 2002 and is now worn by all members attending a meeting or when representing the Lodge at other meetings.
